Our final match of the year and we could not have had a better weekend than this! Saturday we had winds that kept driving everyone high and right, where Sunday the wind took us high and left. Grayling is always a good challenge. Saturday night after the match we had a ton of door prizes to give away. I want to thank Paul Behe and Ray Hopkins both for their time and efforts to getting donations to give away at our match, I also came up with some too. Thanks to all who helped out with all the work setting up and putting equipment away. Welcome to Bob Elka. He's not a new comer to Grayling but, he is to our black powder matches. We all hope to see him in the future as well. Congrats to our Long-Range State Champs Barb Walters (Iron Sights) and Paul Behe ( Scope). They also won the NRA GOLD Regional Medals. The Silver Medals were a real nail bitter with both Ron Walters and John Wier having the same score of 484-3X. I had to go back to the creedmore score and look at their scores in the final match. Match 5 John shot a 58 over Ron's 51 making him the winner of the Silver Medal and Ron the Bronze. Another great close finish, it doesn't get any better than that. I would also like to take this time to thank all of our 2014 Match Sponsor's it truly would not have been the same without them. Please patronize them when ever possible.
